Re-naming Ceremonies

Ashleigh is an absolute delight of a human and an extraordinary celebrant. If I could have her officiate every meaningful moment in my life, I would – in a heartbeat. We feel so lucky to have had her as part of our wedding.

Weddings & Vow Renewals

Whether it’s your first time down the aisle or you’re renewing your vows, your day should reflect who you are as a couple. A big part of this is finding the right celebrant to create and lead the unique, personalised ceremony of your dreams.

I always recommend booking a complimentary consultation to determine if we’re a good fit for each other.

Hooray! You’ve Booked! Here’s What Happens Next…

  • Most bookings are made around 18 months in advance. Once I receive your deposit, and if you’re ok with it, I’ll create a WhatsApp group for us. Don’t worry, I won’t bombard you with messages and memes — this is solely a place for you to ask questions and share ideas.

  • At the one-year-to-the-wedding mark, we meet up face-to-face or virtually — whatever works for you! Over a coffee (or a wine), we’ll chat about all things love, wedding, family, your values, and how you want you and everyone else to feel at your ceremony. We can meet on site at your wedding venue, the pub, your house, or wherever you feel most comfortable.

  • Next, it’s time for me to get started on your personalised wedding script. I’ll send you a questionnaire six months before the wedding, and once I receive your answers, I’ll get to work writing a ceremony that represents you as individuals and as a couple.

I can also create personalised vows for you or provide guidance on writing your own.

  • I’ll be in regular contact in the run-up to your wedding, and we can also schedule a one-month-to-go call to chat about logistics and have a private, informal read-through before you stand up in front of your loved ones.

  • I arrive early on the day to check in, make sure everything is in place (which it will be), and assist with coordination. While you’re getting ready, I’ll be busy liaising with your venue and suppliers to ensure the smooth running of your celebrations. Then, when it’s time, I’ll lead your ceremony.

Pricing

This service is priced at £750, which includes up to 40 miles of travelling costs from my home base in Norwich, Norfolk. If your ceremony is further afield, I generally charge 45p per mile or the cost of a train ticket.

Symbolic elements, such as handfasting and tree planting, can be added to the service for an additional fee, so feel free to contact me to chat about your ideas and get a quote.

Other Ceremonies & Services

Emcee (MC) Service

All my existing booked couples can upgrade to include my MC service. Think of me as your wedding bestie who’s by your side to ensure everything runs smoothly until the evening festivities are in full swing.

I’ll be there to coordinate, ensure everyone is where they’re supposed to be (there are no strays on my watch), and announce all those special moments throughout the day and evening.

Things I can assist with:

  • Gathering up family and friends for photos

  • Introducing you into your reception space

  • Announcing your first dance, cake cutting & speeches

And anything else you require.... I’ll even shimmy on the dance floor and get people to join me if they need a little encouragement!

This service is priced at £250 and can only be booked as part of an existing wedding booking or vow renewal.

Who Are My Services Best Suited To?

The short answer is… anybody who values inclusivity, equality, and fun.

My friendly, energised approach is ideal if you’re looking to create new traditions rather than sticking to outdated ones that don’t fit your personal beliefs. I’m often booked by couples from the LGBTQ+ community, feminist allies, and couples with big personalities and strong personal style.

If you’re searching for a wedding celebrant in the UK to help you create a day that’s unapologetically individual, I may well be the gal that you’re looking for.

Kind Words From Lovely Couples & Guests

  • From Charlotte...

Ashleigh did such a fantastic job at making the ceremony so special. She had clearly put a lot of care and thought into making it personalized, funny and thoughtful and everyone was smiling and laughing and there was even a few tears shed as Ashleigh guided everyone through such a special moment. She added such a lovely touch to the day!

  • From Heidi & Rowan...

I would highly recommend Ashleigh to all those looking to add a special touch to their day, you absolutely will not be disappointed. We had so many comments afterwards saying that they loved Ashleigh and that the ceremony was unique and so different to what they’ve heard before.

  • From Lisa & Al...

The most incredible celebrant – Ashleigh truly is the sunshine in her name! From the very beginning, Ashleigh was an absolute dream to work with. She went so far above and beyond anything we expected — not only was she warm, professional, and down to earth, but she genuinely cared about making our day as perfect as possible.

The Most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About Wedding Celebrants in the UK

  • A wedding celebrant in the UK is a trained professional who specialises in creating and delivering personalised wedding ceremonies.

While many couples opt for religious celebrations or civil ceremonies conducted by a registrar, wedding celebrants are the fun third option. This is an increasingly popular choice for couples seeking a modern and unique celebration.

  • You’ll need to legalise your wedding at a registry office, which is usually around £60 and can be arranged through your local council. You can do this before or after the wedding celebration, and we can talk through all of this when we meet.

The great thing about the legal bits being done at a different time is that it leaves us to do all the exciting, creative, and fun stuff at the ceremony (and party).

  • In short, no! That’s the joy of independent celebrants — we can do the ceremony wherever suits you. How about your parents' back garden, the vineyard that makes your favourite wine, the beach you had your first date on, or in the woods at dusk? You name it, I can help make it happen.

  • My rate is £750, which includes personalised vows, support with planning in the run-up, and of course, the ceremony itself. On the day of the ceremony, I’ll be there nice and early to ensure everything is in place and your big day gets off to the smoothest possible start.

  • My rate includes 40 miles of travel from Norwich, Norfolk. Anything further afield is 45p per mile or the cost of a train ticket.

I love London and it’s my second home, so do get in touch if you’re planning a celebration there, and I'll always try to make it work. Worldwide? Yes, please! Let's chat!

  • Bright, patterned, and leopard print is my vibe, but I can fit in or stand out as much as you choose. If you've got a theme and want me to wear something that ties in, I'll show you some options... fashion shows are available, but not mandatory.

Whether you’re planning a wedding, vow renewal, naming, or re-naming ceremony, it’s set to be a day you remember forever. It’s completely normal to have lots of questions, and I’m happy to answer all of them for you!

Email, DM, or carrier pigeon — contact me however suits, and I’ll get right back to you.
