Hey, hey lovers,

Are you engaged and on the hunt for a wedding fair that isn’t all chair covers and awkward small talk? Well, you're in luck, because the Quirky Wedding Fayre is coming to Thursford, Norfolk on Sunday 11th May, and it’s going to be quite the event.

You probably know Thursford as the place where Christmas explodes in the best possible way (hello, Christmas Spectacular!) but this time, it's going full wedding wonderland. Think less "stiff formalities," more "dancing down the aisle energy."

The Quirky team has been putting on these awesome wedding fairs for years, helping couples ditch the boring and do something that actually feels like THEM. If you're dreaming of a wedding that’s a bit different, a bit wild, a bit you, this is where you need to be.

And guess what? As a proud Norwich celebrant, I’ll be there too. As you may know I don't compromise on my values and I only ever exhibit at fairs that truly align with me and my to-be-weds.

Not only will I be exhibiting, I am also running a 'Ceremonies That Shine' workshop, on none other than the main stage. 12 year amatuer dramtics performer Ashleigh can't believe she will be on the massive Thursford stage. Oh and I forgot to mention, next to to the stage is a a real life, working carousel!

Now, I’m not going to spill all my secrets here, but let’s just say you’ll leave with a head full of ideas on how to make your wedding ceremony unforgettable. We're talking real moments, big laughs, a few happy tears and absolutely zero yawning guests.

PLUS: something that I'm so happy to promote: 'Quirky Quiet Hour'!

From 2pm–3pm, the fayre will slow things down a notch. If you’re neurodivergent, suffer from anxiety, or just find the usual hustle and bustle a bit too much, you can book a special Quiet Hour ticket and enjoy a more chilled-out vibe. Here's what you can expect:

  • No live or loud music (your ears can have a breather)

  • Limited capacity — meaning no crowds or elbow bumping

  • No harsh twinkly lights trying to outshine you

  • No pushy conversations — you can browse in peace, and exhibitors will only chat if you want to

  • Basically, it's like the wedding fayre equivalent of a big, comfy hug.

Get your tickets here to secure your spot — especially if you'd love a calmer, more relaxed way to take it all in.

And even better? All quirky fayres are proudly inclusive, accessible, and completely judgment-free! Us suppliers sign up to Quirky's zero-judgement ethos, meaning no side-eye, no silly traditions you have to follow, and absolutely no pressure. Just a big, welcoming space where you can be 100% yourself, however you choose to celebrate your love.

Whether you're planning a massive party, a mini-festival, or a ceremony where your nan rides in on a unicorn, this is your space, your day, your way.

So grab your other half, your best mates, and maybe a notebook (you’re gonna want to steal some ideas) and come hang out with us at Thursford. It’s going to be a day full of inspiration, good vibes, and actually useful wedding magic.

See you there, legends!

P.S. I’ll be the one banging on about how your ceremony should be the BEST part of your day. Spoiler: It should.
